Is the Graco 4Ever DLX 4-In-1 car seat worth it? In this review, I’ll go over the ideation, main features, weaknesses, and our overall experience. I’m a new mom to 9-month-old Sebastian and this is our second car seat owned. The first was a Chicco Infant Car Seat that was a hand-me-down. This was made for parents who wanted the connivance of a car seat that changes with their child. Also, know as a convertible car seat. It starts as a rear-facing harness (4–40 pounds) to a forward-facing harness (22–65 pounds) to a high back belt-positioning booster (40–100 pounds) to the backless belt-positioning booster (40–120 pounds). Since the new design goes from 4 lb to 120 lbs you only have to buy it one time per child. It can also last multiple children as long as you are not in a car accident. If you are in a crash it’s highly recommended you get a new seat as the old one can be compromised. Another popular question is how many years is a Graco 4Ever car seat good for? Well per child that would be 8-10 years until they grow out of the booster seat. Yet, as mentioend above it can last multiple children if not in a wreck or comprimised.

It has a latch system for an easy, one-second latch attachment. It also has a Steel-reinforced frame engineered to protect against frontal, side, rear, and rollover crashes. For baby/child comfort it has a 6-position recline and 10-position adjustable headrest. The cover also removes easily for cleaning! Another main feature is that two cupholders are included with the car seat.

I believe it’s worth the money because of the safety tests and features, the connivance, and Sebastian loves it! The extra cushion lets him fall asleep without hurting his neck, the customizable tilt helps him be at the right angle for my car, and its aesthetics is nice for pictures. Now the changes we had to deal with are we couldn’t wrap his toy around the handle because this car seat has no handle. So we had to buy a new toy for this car seat so that he is safe in a crash. He wakes up every time I take him out of the car if he is sleeping. The old infant car seat I could take inside and put next to his crib and lift him gently into the crib. This car seat doesn’t come out of the car so I have to take him out before we go inside. Another point on this car seat doesn’t come off the base so we will have to figure out something for Alan’s car. We switch between picking/dropping him off so we will probably just buy another seat for his car.

Our Overall Experience

So I ordered mine from amazon and it took two days to get here because I have prime. The box was heavy but I could still bring it inside. The seat comes assembled which was so nice! I just had to adjust the headrest/straps and put on the two cup holders. Then Alan followed the instructions to install the car seat. I’ll link the Graco website here which provides the instructions. Of course, it comes with the car seat but it could help reading them to see if it’s a good fit for you. Another thing to mention is we live on a hill so we had to drive to the flat ground to get the car seat at the right angle (the green level on the side of the car seat). So in Sebastian’s picture, you can see the bubble isn’t in the middle because it was on a hill.
