I just wanted to write a small working dad dedication post to thank Alan. Or any other dad that helps as much. It’s hard having a baby, and I appreciate that he rises up to the challenge to help me.
You have been there when I got stressed from our baby crying. Yet you just took our baby in your arms to let me rest. Many times you have seen me lose my temper from being exhausted. Then you just hug and kiss me to cool me down. You have seen me rock our baby to sleep while smiling and you smile right back. I have seen you be aggravated when our baby decides to be difficult from teething. All you do is lay the baby down and take a deep breath. Kindness is always shown to our baby.
Continuously you make bottles for our baby and help feed during the night. You help cook, clean, take out the trash, and fold laundry with me. Everyone understands it takes a village to raise the baby. You don’t make me do it on my own as some men do. Some days you come home exhausted from work and need a break in the bedroom. Some days I do the same before I can handle him too. You always take time out of your day to kiss our baby, hug our baby, and play with our baby. I just wanted to say thank you. That I love you for being there for our baby even when it gets tough. You’re the best, love mom.
